Finding America's Hidden Treasure
"Success is a journey, not a destination. It requires constant effort, vigilance, and reevaluation." ........ Mark Twain
Oro Cas

At the age of 14, Oro's father loaded his troop of Boy Scouts on a bus and headed west to the Philmont Boy Scout Ranch in New Mexico where he got his first taste of gold panning. He was forever hooked. Gold mining and prospecting have been a recurring event in Oro’s life since.
Fascinated with the history of the gold rush era in Western United States, Oro it became a goal to experience gold mining in those historic areas. With the support of friends and family, Oro Expeditions came to life. The Expeditions began as Oro's dream of becoming a full time gold miner after retiring from more thirty years behind the wheel of a tractor-trailer. Traveling from our home base in Western Maryland to the southeastern US then on to the Mother Lode country of North Central California, Oro spent a lot of time talking with and learning from people of all walks of life, that are both recreational and professional gold miners.
From these adventures the vision of Oro Expeditions was born.
